Are you sure evidence, is always evident?

Let's assume that we're discussing about scientific evidence.

According to Cambridge Dictionary, this is the definition of science: (knowledge from) the careful study of the structure and behavior of the physical world, especially by watching, measuring, and doing experiments, and the development of theories to describe the results of these activities.

Now let's assume that we're able to perform a given experiment, and we want to publish the result, so that anyone can access it, and reproduce our experiment.
In general there are few challenges with this approach:

1. To conduct an experiment, or to do a research takes time, and usually people don't work for free. The benefits of such research may also be uncertain, so securing the necessary funding is essential if we want to start. [1]
2. Science is not always welcome when gets in the way with business or power. This is common when interest come first. For example, look at how much pain suffered Galileo to convince the Catholic Church that it was the Earth orbiting around the Sun, and not the other way around. [2-4]
3. What works for you, may not work for others, so it may be difficult to generalize. For example, some drugs are released on the market based on trials conducted on a number of volunteers, but later on researchers may find adverse, and sometimes even lethal effects on humans.
4. No matter what is the result, media and social media, can always influence the public opinion with false information and fancy theories. For example, fake news are an easy way to sabotage someone, and by sharing a fake video, people's mind can be fooled, sometimes even triggering dangerous reactions. [5]

When the above aspects can be manipulated to support a particular interest, evidence become uncertain. Suddenly we realize that the steps required to produce evidence, are not always obvious and straightforward. That's when education should become more important for us, because it will help us to understand what's going on, what's true and what's false.

I think this is particularly relevant when it comes to health, because usually this is not something we're prepared to compromise.
